Fotografencafé Kasteel Woerden presents a varied program for photography enthusiasts.
1:30–5:30 p.m. Creative image-making with AI workshop led by Imca Schoots.
At 7:30 p.m., the evening program begins with Fotoplaza, featuring Leonie van der Helm.
Leonie van der Helm graduated with honors from the Fotoacademie in 2024. In her project Naked with the Truth, she explores the human body as a bearer of past experiences. Leonie's work is characterized by physical interventions in her photographic images, which she uses to reinforce or exaggerate the essence of the original image.
8:00 p.m.
The main guest is landscape photographer Jeroen Hofman. He will explore the theme The signature behind my landscape photography with us.
Photography is about developing your own signature. It is often a long journey that requires a great deal of patience. How do you become more visible and recognizable? How can you become not only a better photographer, but also a better entrepreneur? Jeroen will take us through these questions this evening.
The perspective of an exercise yard
Jeroen: "Whether I am photographing the city parks of Amsterdam and Rotterdam or the Frisian Islands, I use a specific method: working from a great height while standing on a platform.
The effort required to rent a hydraulic aerial platform for every shoot pays off: from a bird's-eye view, the architecture of the parks—or the vastness and tranquility of the islands—becomes clearly visible."
Starting at 9:15 p.m., the evening concludes with portfolio reviews by four professional photographers and De Lange Tafel.
The reviewers have many years of experience in photography and extensive experience as coaches and mentors. Their advice will give you practical ways to get even more from your photographic work.
