Photography is an elusive thing. Everyone can do it, but the decisive image is hard to get. It depends on the craft, insight and mindset of the maker. For 35 years I have been making images that stand out, now with the ease of technical routine but never with the ease of “done it, seen it”. I frame small pieces of the world: what is beautiful, what matters to me, what is remarkable, surprising or sometimes amusing. Those images then exist, rescued from fleetingness and anonymity. Hard drives full of images from all over the world, for anyone who wants to see or use them.
