Renowned Antwerp photographer Marc Lagrange, 57, was killed in a traffic accident in Tenerife on Friday evening.
Several Belgian news outlets reported that the death had been confirmed by a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “No further details about the accident are being released because the victim’s family has asked for privacy,” the spokesperson said.
Marc Lagrange was best known for his refined, artistic nude photography. He achieved international recognition in 2013 with his book Diamonds and Pearls, which was published worldwide.
At the time of publication, it was the final day of an exhibition of his work at Leonhard’s Gallery in Antwerp, held in support of his latest book, Senza Parole.
