To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the first Tamron macro lens, Tamron is releasing a long-awaited mirrorless-camera version of this iconic lens. The Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Di III Macro VXD (Model F072) lens is a short-telephoto 1:1 macro lens that is compatible with full-frame Sony E-mount and Nikon Z-mount system cameras.
In 1979, Tamron introduced its first 90mm macro lens, the SP 90mm F/2.5 (Model 52B), changing the concept of macro lenses. Known for its beautiful bokeh and excellent image quality, this lens was initially used mainly for scientific purposes, but it quickly became popular for various types of photography, including field work and portraits.
Affectionately Tamukyu The nickname combines the Japanese words for Tamron and nine. The lens earned acclaim among close-up enthusiasts, nature photographers and portrait enthusiasts.
Tamron continued to innovate in response to changing photographic needs and brought successive models such as the SP AF90mm F/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 (Model 272E) and the SP 90mm F/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 VC USD (Model F004).
