In 2025, Lexar introduced CFexpress 4.0 Type A and Type B memory cards, which the manufacturer claims are twice as fast as CFexpress 2.0 cards. The cards were announced in Diamond, Gold and Silver versions.

All Lexar CFexpress 4.0 cards are designed with 8-point protection against extreme temperatures, vibration, abrasion, dust (IP5X), drop, shock, compression and bending, for durability and reliability. They also come with a limited lifetime warranty.
