Photographer Marc Lagrange had a talent for illuminating female beauty and portraying timeless elegance. His photographs are full of desire and sensuality. In the early nineties, Lagrange began working intensively with Polaroid film, giving his nude portraits a more dramatic and moving appearance.
As a medium, Polaroid-film perfectly matched his aesthetic and artistic vision, and it soon became a valid means of expression for him. The Belgian artist was especially drawn to the unique quality and cool brown tonality of the rare Polaroid 100 Chocolate film, one of the last film types ever produced before the Polaroid factory closed permanently in 2009.

Chocolate contains a seductive series of carefully selected and mostly unpublished works that Marc Lagrange created on Polaroid 100 Chocolate film.
Even more than his widely known sophisticated compositions, the photographs impress with their warm colors, raw textures, and painterly aesthetic. His Polaroids are a powerful example of his skill and attention to detail.

Belgian photographer Marc Lagrange was one of the world’s most original and talented portrait and nude photographers. He carefully selected opulent, timeless locations in which to shape his sensuous scenes. His heavenly images received wide acclaim and are collected and exhibited around the world.
The renowned Antwerp photographer was 57 years old.
