The new Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD (model B060x) is a bright ultra-wide-angle zoom for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras.
The 11-20mm zoom lens is ideal for travel, landscape, street photography and general photography. It is Tamron’s fourth zoom lens for the Fuji X mount, joining the 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD, 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD, and 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD.
Despite its constant F/2.8 maximum aperture, the lens is very compact and balances well on a small APS-C mirrorless camera. It is just 86.5 mm long and weighs 335 grams.
On APS-C, its angle of view is equivalent to approximately 16.5-30 mm, making it a versatile option for everyday use.
The 11-20mm F/2.8 has 12 elements in 10 groups. Two precisely positioned Glass Molded Aspherical lens elements ensure high resolution from edge to edge.
In addition, the 11-20mm F/2.8 contains one Extra Low Dispersion and two Low Dispersion lens elements to take sharp images with strongly corrected optical aberrations. It also features a Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2 coating to minimize ghosting and flare and reveal the finest details of subjects, even in backlit conditions.
The lens offers remarkable close-up capabilities at 11mm ultra-wide angle with a minimum focus distance of only 0.15 m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4. This encourages creativity macro photography taking advantage of the unique perspective that only ultra-wide angle lenses can provide.
The zoom uses a quiet Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive autofocus motor, enabling it to focus on continuously moving subjects while operating unobtrusively.
The ultra-wide-angle zoom is protected by moisture-resistant construction and a durable fluorine coating for extra protection during outdoor shooting.
