Following the successful and widely discussed introduction of the original Harman Phoenix 200 in 2023, Phoenix II marks a new phase with significant improvements in performance and consistency. The new Harman Phoenix II 200 color negative film is available in both 35mm (135) and 120 formats.
This completely redesigned, second-generation color film was built from the ground up with new dyes, couplers and an innovative experimental layer structure. The result is finer grain, sharper images, improved contrast and a wider exposure range.
Phoenix II offers more refined color rendering while retaining the creative character and analog soul that made the original so popular with photographers worldwide.

Phoenix II is produced entirely in England at Harman’s technology facility in Mobberley. The film is DX-coded at ISO 200 and delivers the best results at exposure indices between EI 100–200. It is compatible with standard C41 processing, but is also well suited to experimentation with alternative processes such as E6 and ECN-2.
Scan results are noticeably better on commonly used scanners, especially with minor adjustments on Noritsu and Fuji lab scanners. Whether you develop film at home, or use a professional lab, Phoenix II leaves plenty of room for expressive, characterful images.
With this launch, Harman underscores its continued investment in the development of color film, fueled in part by feedback and enthusiasm from film users around the world. Photographers are invited to share their results with the hashtags #phoenixfilm2 and #harmanphoenix2.
