Photographing with a Nikon Z50 II is the first book in a new series of books by Dré de Man about Nikon Z cameras. The Nikon Z50 II is part of the third generation of Nikon's Z series. The Z cameras were conceived from the ground up as digital cameras. This distinguishes them from all previous Nikon cameras.
But the Z50 II clearly differs from earlier generations of Z cameras. Its much faster autofocus is the main difference between the Z50 and the Z50 II. It contains hundreds of photographs, all taken by Dré with this and other Nikon cameras and lenses. Every photograph includes shooting data and often additional information.
Like other manufacturers, Nikon will regularly update the firmware. This book is based on firmware 1.01 (April 2025).

Dré de Man studied Dutch and trained in photography under Hans Götze. He worked as a photojournalist for several years and has since combined photographic and journalistic work. He previously wrote several books on digital photography and Photoshop, as well as many books on Nikon SLR cameras. Dré regularly speaks at trade fairs and meetings about photography and photographing with Nikon cameras.
