Nikon announced the long-awaited silver version of its iconic full-frame Nikon Zf mirrorless camera. Following the success of the Zf launch in 2023, the introduction of the silver version responds to demand from customers and fans of retro-inspired cameras.
The silver finish recalls the chrome-plated elements of cameras from the past, such as the Nikon F. Its metallic-looking texture creates an authentic appearance suited to a full-frame camera inspired by classic models.

At the announcement, Nikon said the Zf Silver would also be offered in six exclusive colors replacing the Zf’s black finish: Sepia Brown, Moss Green, Stone Gray, as well as the new Cognac Brown, Teal Blue, and Mauve Pink. These understated yet elegant shades complement the silver body perfectly.
Nikon also announced a future firmware update, scheduled at the time for 2025, with a new “Film Grain” feature (Film Grain) that adds a grainy look to photos and videos, providing even more creative options.
By combining this feature with Imaging Recipes—imaging presets available to download through Nikon Imaging Cloud—users would be able to create film-like results tailored to their personal style.

Price and availability
At the announcement, the new Nikon Z f Silver was priced at € 2,499. Nikon said at the time that the three new colors would become available later.
