Are you looking to improve your photography skills? Are you eager to discover beautiful locations with like-minded photography enthusiasts?
During this trip to Tenerife, you will become familiar with the functions of your camera and master the basics of photography. By experimenting together, we dive into both portrait and landscape photography. Come and be part of this trip to Tenerife!
Jet ter Halle, a Dutch documentary photographer, is committed to capturing and highlighting social issues through her photography. Her goal is to create a dialogue by confronting the audience with the social situation in which her subjects find themselves.
Her current project Freedom Seekers revolves around asylum seekers who are forced to leave their home country because of their sexual orientation. The photos from this photo project can be admired in Stadskant in Gouda from October 5 to 28, 2023.
In addition to social documentaries, Jet specializes in corporate photography. She enjoys showing the stories of entrepreneurs: their passion, the products or services they offer, and the people involved. Capable of capturing people in their most genuine moments, she quickly puts them at ease, allowing their true essence to shine through in her photographs.
The participants of the photography workshop Experience & Experiment will mainly learn through a hands-on approach.
The basic principles and techniques for portrait and landscape photography will initially be explained and demonstrated by Jet. Participants then have the opportunity to consolidate this knowledge and improve their own skills through specific assignments.
You learn by doing!
It will be a process of learning, understanding, and then implementing and experimenting yourself. In this way, participants can really put theory into practice and thus refine their photographic techniques. Collaborating with others also helps with this. Jet mainly works with novice photographers who are genuinely excited to learn and discover.
A mirrorless system camera or DSLR is preferred on this trip. Any camera can take good photos, so you can use what you have and discover on this journey if anything else is needed in your future photography. Costs: 8-day photography trip from € 1,595 incl. VAT (depending on private or shared room).
Included: 7 nights in the accommodation, welcome dinner, 7x breakfast, 2x lunch, coffee, tea, water, fruit and snacks in the accommodation, transport to the photo locations.
Not included: flight tickets, travel insurance, lunch/dinner and drinks outside the accommodation.
