Think Tank Walker Pro Rolling and BackLight Long Lens Backpack

Think Tank Walker Pro Rolling and BackLight Long Lens Backpack

Think Tank’s professional lineup has two new specialized camera bags: the Think Tank Walker Pro Rolling Backpack and the BackLight Long Lens Backpack.

These two new Think Tank backpacks are designed for completely different uses: the Walker Pro Rolling Backpack is ideal for active urban professionals, while the BackLight Long Lens Backpack was developed specifically for nature and sports photographers and bird photographers working with large telephoto lenses in remote areas.

Walker Pro Rolling Backpack

The new Think Tank Walker Pro Rolling Backpack is an evolution of the popular Street Walker series, offering more space, stronger materials, and a sleek, urban, tech-inspired design. This hybrid bag combines the convenience of a roller with the comfort of a backpack, making it perfect for professionals moving between airports, alleyways, cobblestone streets, and conference halls.

The backpack is optimized for mobility: its slim, upright profile rolls smoothly through narrow passages, while the deployable shoulder straps and breathable mesh back panel provide comfortable carrying when wheels are not an option.

Inside, a padded compartment accommodates a 16-inch MacBook Pro or tablet. Additional pockets provide quick access to a smartphone, tripod, cables, and water bottle.

Durable YKK RC Fuse zippers and a reinforced telescoping handle ensure a long service life. The bag also meets most international carry-on requirements, although it is advisable to check with each airline.

What Fits in the Walker Pro Rolling Backpack?

The Think Tank Walker Pro Rolling Backpack accommodates a camera body with a battery grip and a second standard body, along with 4 to 6 lenses or accessories. It can even hold a 400mm f/2.8 on a standard body, with room for another 2 to 3 lenses.

This backpack/roller is intended for photographers who want maximum protection for their equipment without compromising carrying comfort or mobility.

Think Tank BackLight Long Lens Backpack

The Think Tank BackLight Long Lens Backpack is made for an entirely different purpose. This backpack is designed specifically for photographers who work in the field with supertelephoto lenses. It provides sturdy support for large lenses such as a 600mm f/4 or even an 800mm f/5.6 mounted on a gripped camera body—with or without a teleconverter. Its interior height of 57 centimeters is sufficient to carry professional equipment as one assembled setup.

Because it opens from the back, the harness system stays clean when the bag is used in mud, snow, or sand. The bag is made from rugged 420D Dynatec nylon and features lockable YKK zippers and a sturdy foam structure.

The nine-point harness system, breathable back panel, and 7-liter day compartment—for a jacket, food, or extra layers—make long hikes more manageable.

A tripod can be attached to the front or side. A padded compartment accommodates a 13-inch tablet. The bag comes complete with dividers, protective pads, and a Realtree Camo rain cover.

This is not a bag for commuters. It is the ideal companion for photographers tracking white-tailed eagles in the Oostvaardersplassen, waiting for cranes in Norway, or carrying their equipment through Patagonia. For anyone working with long telephoto lenses and practicing outdoor photography, it is the perfect companion.

Pricing and Availability

The Think Tank Walker Pro Rolling Backpack and the BackLight Long Lens Backpack are available at suggested retail prices of € 429 and € 334.95, respectively.
