Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD for Nikon Z

Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 for Nikon Z: fast zoom lens

The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD is a zoom lens that spans focal lengths from wide angle (35mm) to telephoto (150mm), making it ideal for documentary, wedding, portrait, and travel photography. Designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras with a Nikon Z mount, this zoom lens has a maximum aperture of F2 at 35mm, narrowing to F2.8 at 150mm.

At 35 mm, you can photograph sweeping vistas and stately buildings, while at 150mm you can create dynamic close-up portraits. This zoom lens is also ideal for sunrises and sunsets, striking architecture, and interiors such as restaurants. Its fast aperture makes it particularly well suited to shooting at dusk and at night.

It covers all commonly used angles of view, including wide angle, standard, short telephoto, and telephoto, allowing users to frame a shot easily without changing their position relative to the subject.

Key features

The new 35-150mm F2-2.8 has a wide maximum aperture of F/2 at a focal length of 35 mm. The new 35-150mm delivers smooth, beautiful bokeh, even at the wide-angle end. The wide F/2 aperture also enables faster shutter speeds and lower ISO settings, helping photographers reduce the effects of camera shake and capture images with less noise thanks to the lower ISO setting.

The 35mm-to-150mm zoom range of the new model A058 is ideal for documentary photography because a single lens can handle so many situations. You can take snapshots at the 35mm wide-angle setting or the standard 50mm setting, shoot close-up portraits at 85-105mm, and capture telephoto images at 150mm. The responsive zoom ring lets you keep shooting as you move from wide angle to telephoto, which is useful for both stills and video.

Even when used with today's very high-resolution digital cameras, the lens consistently delivers high image quality all the way to the edges of the frame. Its wide maximum aperture also produces soft bokeh throughout the zoom range.

With its fast, highly accurate AF, the lens responds exceptionally well to every action by the photographer. It delivers stable, reliable focus even with very fast lenses, from the minimum focusing distance to infinity.

The 35-150mm F2-2.8 provides excellent focus tracking for moving subjects, so no photo opportunity is missed.

The VXD focusing motor is extremely quiet, making it ideal for shooting both stills and video in situations where minimal motor noise is preferred.

At the 35mm wide-angle setting, the 35-150mm F2-2.8 has a minimum focusing distance of 0.33 m, resulting in a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.7. This lets photographers concentrate on shooting without worrying about the distance to the subject. It also makes it possible to create compositions that use the wide F2-2.8 aperture to produce substantial background blur while capturing the subject at a larger scale.

Relatively compact for a fast zoom lens with an F/2 aperture.

Users can customize various AF and MF functions on the lens and update its firmware through the lens rather than through the camera body.
