The Sony FE 28-70mm F2.0 GM combines prime-lens image quality with zoom versatility. Its compact, lightweight design (92.9 x 139.8 mm, 918 g) offers flexibility for portraits, weddings, sports, documentaries, and cinematic work. The constant F2 aperture delivers excellent performance for stills and video, with edge-to-edge sharpness thanks to three XA elements.
The lens produces smooth bokeh through controlled spherical aberration and an 11-blade diaphragm. Super ED and ED elements limit chromatic aberration, while Nano AR Coating II minimizes flare.
Four XD motors and an advanced algorithm provide fast, precise autofocus, even at the high speed (AF/AE tracking at up to 120 fps) of the Sony α9 III, which is essential for weddings or sporting events where tracking continues while zooming.
