The basic shape of the camera is determined by the technical requirements of the lens: a new archetype with lower 'shoulders' that emphasize that the lens is larger.
Combined with a new three-lens continuous autofocus system, this delivers the sharpest shots of any Polaroid instant camera. The F8 aperture is large for the film format and allows for creative portraits with a soft bokeh.
New for Polaroid is that the I-2 has built-in manual controls. Set the shutter speed and aperture, use aperture priority, shutter priority or go completely manual and view everything via the built-in viewfinder and check the settings on the external screen.

The I-2 has a new large and bright viewfinder to help you compose and control your shots Polaroid photo. This allows you to see the all-new display inside that shows all the camera modes and exposure settings you need.
The Polaroid I-2 camera has different exposure modes built into the camera itself, so you can choose different options depending on the photo you want to take. Just click the OK button below the screen to navigate between the modes.
Within the selected mode you can navigate through the different values using the focus ring on the lens. The small, clear screen shows you all the settings and exposure without having to look through the viewfinder.

Although the Polaroid I-2 works as a standalone camera, you can download the free Polaroid App to access even more features and extra control over your photography. The APP is available for both iOS and Android.
The I-2 is compatible with three different types of Polaroid instant film: i-Type, 600 and SX-70.
