Polaroid is introducing the Hi-Print 3x3, a compact smartphone printer that lets you print square photos directly from your phone. The printer is aimed at users who mainly take pictures with their smartphones but also like to make their images tangible for scrapbooking, collages, or wall decoration, for example.
The free Polaroid Hi-Print app also lets users add text, stickers, templates, and other creative elements to their photos. Polaroid is therefore focusing on quick, accessible printing with extra emphasis on personalization.
Printing from Your Smartphone
The Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3 is intended for people who primarily create and share photos digitally but occasionally also enjoy holding a physical print. The photo printer works wirelessly through Bluetooth and can be used with the Polaroid Hi-Print app for iOS and Android.
Users can select a photo in the app, edit it with text, stickers, or a template, and then print it directly. According to Polaroid, the app includes more than one hundred and fifty templates and collages, supplemented by designs for holidays and other special occasions.
For those who find square prints less suitable, Polaroid also offers a Hi-Print 4x6, designed for postcard-size prints.

The Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3 uses Dye Diffusion Thermal Transfer technology, which Polaroid also refers to as D2T2. According to the manufacturer, this produces prints with vivid colors and an additional protective layer against scratches, UV radiation, and water.
This should ensure that the prints are not only ready immediately, but also more resistant to everyday use.
Printer and Photo Frame
Notably, the Hi-Print 3x3 is designed to be more than just a printer. The front has space to display a printed photo, allowing the device to double as a small photo frame. This also gives the printer a decorative function on a desk, shelf, or cabinet.

The Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3 photo printer is available for € 109.99 including VAT. The printer comes with a cartridge for ten photo prints.
