Driving rain over the sea, sunlight breaking through turbulent clouds, and fragile peatlands feature prominently in Saskia Boelsums’ landscape photography. Her photographs are both overwhelming and painterly.
The Dutch landscape appears in all its glory once again in Boelsums’ second book. This time, she also includes photographs made during trips to Germany, Switzerland , and New York. There, too, she translates her love of nature into surprising and moving photographs of remarkable landscapes.

Saskia is driven by a desire to communicate her experience of nature through photography. She is a consummate landscape photographer who knows how to capture the impressive, sometimes wild, and equally often fragile beauty of nature in her images.
