Modern Perspectives: Foto en Film Amsterdam 1920–1940 was published to accompany the exhibition of the same name at the Amsterdam City Archives. It completed a trilogy about photography in Amsterdam. The series began in 2010 with De eerste foto’s van Amsterdam 1845–1875 and continued in 2016 with Amsterdam 1900. Foto’s van Olie, Breitner, Eilers en tijdgenoten.
