An all-time record was set two days earlier at the 21st WestLicht auction in Austria with a camera estimated at around 300,000 to 450,000 euros.
After an exciting bidding contest, the highlight of the auction—an extremely rare Leica 0-Series from 1923—sold for the astonishing sum of 2,160,000 euros.

The bidder, who wishes to remain anonymous is now the owner of the most expensive camera in the world.
