Insta360 has introduced the GO Ultra, the latest version of its well-known pocket camera. The device remains small and portable, but now has significantly more computing power and better image quality. Weighing just 53 grams and the size of a smartwatch, this is a camera you can take almost anywhere.
Larger sensor and AI chip
The main technical advance over the Insta360 GO 3S is the new 1/1.28” sensor, which is more than twice the size of its predecessor’s. Together with a 5nm AI chip, it delivers sharper images, better color and less noise.
Videos can now be recorded in 4K at 60 frames per second, a step that moves this category of pocket cameras closer to cinematic image quality.
For low-light situations, Insta360 introduces the PureVideo mode, where AI algorithms reduce noise and improve clarity. Active HDR also provides a better balance between light and dark areas. This means the camera can be used from sunny mountain tops to evening fires on the beach.
Portable and versatile

Storage is now via microSD cards instead of fixed storage. This means that you can easily expand the capacity to 2TB, or quickly replace a full card. This makes the process of transferring files considerably more practical.
Intuitive app and smart features
The redesigned Insta360 app helps users with editing and sharing. You can add music, effects and transitions with just a few taps. For those who want quick results, Auto Edit automatically selects the highlights and turns them into a ready-made video.
Another new feature is AI Family Moments, which automatically brings together snippets of family events into a virtual album. For athletes, the app offers the option to integrate data such as GPS, speed and heart rate from Strava or other devices with the images in real time.
