The Fujifilm XF 16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II is a lightweight standard zoom lens designed for Fujifilm X Series cameras. This updated model is approximately 37% lighter than its predecessor and weighs just 410 grams, significantly improving ergonomics and portability.
The Fujifilm XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR is already a popular workhorse among Fujifilm users because of its constant F2.8 aperture and versatile 16-55mm focal-length range. The new “II” version builds on it with improvements in weight, ergonomics and functionality.
The 16 to 55mm focal-length range is equivalent to 24 to 85mm in 35mm format. With a constant F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range, the lens suits applications including portrait, documentary and landscape photography.
The new Red Badge lens offers improvements for videographers through its Aperture Click Switch, which makes it easy to switch between stepless aperture adjustment for smooth video transitions and clicked control for still photography.
Focus breathing is also greatly reduced, producing stable, consistent framing during focusing. These features work best with Fujifilm cameras such as the X-H2S, X-H2 or X-T5, provided their firmware is up to date.
Its advanced optical design uses 16 elements in 11 groups, including ED, Super ED and aspherical elements, delivering sharp images from the center to the edges. Chromatic aberration is effectively suppressed while the lens produces soft, attractive bokeh. A minimum focusing distance of 0.3 meters and a 0.21x magnification ratio also support excellent close-up performance.

It is dust-, weather- and cold-resistant down to -10°C, with 12 seals and a fluorine coating on the front element to repel water and dirt. The new Fujifilm XF 16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II was announced for December 2024 with a suggested retail price of €1,349.
