Marcel van der Looij is an innovation manager and freelance sports photographer. He began his career in 1979 as a photographer at Sotheby's Amsterdam, where he learned studio photography. Years later, he became fascinated by photographing people and sports, and sports photography developed into a true passion. His style is best described as journalistic, with an emphasis on the decisive moment. He has received several distinctions and won many awards for his photographs.
