A mudflat hiking photography weekend during the longest days of the year!

After organizing mudflat hikes for friends for many years, travel photographer Tom van der Leij (Columbus Magazine, Roots, Bergen Magazine) recently began offering photography-focused mudflat hikes to the Wadden Islands.
Tom: “For me, mudflat hiking is one of the most beautiful nature experiences in the Netherlands. You will not find this sense of space anywhere else in the country. Together with two guides from Wadloopcentrum Friesland, we take a boat to the permanent sandbar Brakzand. From there, we walk to Schiermonnikoog in 4 to 5 hours. Naturally, we take plenty of photographs along the way. We stay at the legendary Hotel Van der Werff. The next day, I take you on a bicycle tour of the island, explain how I approach photography, and share tips."
The next mudflat hike was scheduled for Friday, June 18 at 07:30, departing from Lauwersoog. At the time, only a few places remained.
The tour was to be conducted in English and Dutch.
Cost: €425,00 per person, including mudflat guides, boat rental, photography tips and photos of yourself, two hotel nights with breakfast, and bicycle rental.
Not included: transportation to Lauwersoog, lunch, dinner, and drinks.
