Think Tank FocusPoint Rolltop: A Versatile Backpack for Photographers

Think Tank FocusPoint Rolltop Backpack Series

The Think Tank FocusPoint Rolltop series was developed for photographers seeking flexibility, comfort, and reliability in a single backpack. Its water-resistant rolltop closure, smart modular interior, and rugged materials make the series suitable for a wide range of situations, from urban shoots and everyday assignments to travel and hikes in nature.

With a choice of 22-liter and 30-liter models, several colors, and a removable camera insert, the FocusPoint series adapts effortlessly to your workflow.

What Makes the FocusPoint Rolltop Series Special?

Rolltop Design for Added Flexibility

The rolltop closure provides variable storage space and additional protection from rain or dust. It is perfect when you sometimes carry more and sometimes less, or when you need to stow your gear quickly.

Removable Camera Insert

The interior contains a removable camera insert with adjustable dividers. This lets you switch easily between:

  • a full camera setup with a body and multiple lenses, or
  • a daypack mode for work, school, or travel.

This makes the bag multifunctional without compromising protection.

Comfortable Carrying Design

Think Tank is known for its ergonomic fit, and that is evident here as well.
The FocusPoint Rolltop has:

  • padded shoulder straps
  • a breathable back panel
  • a sturdy hip belt on the 30L for added stability

These features are useful on long days on the go or when carrying heavier equipment.

Plenty of Storage Options

In addition to the main compartment and camera insert, the backpack offers:

  • a laptop compartment for devices up to 16 inches
  • side pockets for a tripod, water bottle, or accessories
  • front pockets for filters, batteries, memory cards, and personal items

This lets you organize your equipment clearly and find it quickly.

What Fits in These Backpacks?

Both models can accommodate items including:

  • a DSLR or mirrorless camera, such as a Nikon Z6/Z7, Canon R-series camera, Sony A7/A9
  • 2 to 4 additional lenses
  • accessories such as filters, batteries, power banks, a microphone, and an SSD
  • a laptop up to 16 inches
  • a tripod attached to the side

The 30L offers noticeably more room for clothing or additional equipment, making it ideal for day trips or travel.
