Sony introduces the Sony FE 50-150mm F2 GM, the world’s first telephoto zoom lens with a maximum focal length of 150 mm and a constant F2 aperture. The lens starts at a standard 50 mm focal length and combines its F2 aperture with prime-lens-level resolution, making it suitable for many situations and subjects.

The internal optical design of the FE 50-150mm F2 GM plays a crucial role in delivering this exceptional image quality. Two XA (extreme aspherical) elements, two Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, and ED elements suppress aberrations, producing sharp, high-contrast images throughout the zoom range.
The lens’s floating focus system also provides a minimum focusing distance of 0.4 m at the wide end and a maximum magnification of 0.20x, ideal for detailed shots.
