PolarPro Goldstache Filter for Warm, Cinematic Images

PolarPro Goldstache Filter Gives Images a Warm Look

PolarPro is introducing the Goldstache, a new Shortstache filter for photographers and filmmakers who want to add more warmth and atmosphere to their footage in camera. Developed in collaboration with Garrett King, the filter is intended for creators seeking a subtle, cinematic look without losing detail.

The Goldstache creates softer highlights, light diffusion, and warmer skin tones while keeping the image sharp where it matters. It is aimed at users who want to soften the often somewhat harsh digital appearance of modern cameras without making the result look too soft or overly stylized.

Warm Look

With the Goldstache, PolarPro is targeting a refined, warm visual style. The filter adds a soft golden glow to highlights and gives portraits and everyday scenes a more cinematic character. At the same time, the effect remains controlled, according to the manufacturer, so images continue to look natural.

This may be particularly appealing to photographers and filmmakers who want to give their images more atmosphere at the time of capture. The aim is not to change the image drastically, but to soften digital sharpness slightly and make skin tones appear a little richer.

Glass and Frame

PolarPro also emphasizes the optical quality of the filter. The Goldstache is made from high-quality optical glass designed to deliver consistent image rendering for both photography and video. Its aluminum frame is intended to provide a sturdy construction that is also practical to use in the field.

A version compatible with PolarPro's Helix MagLock system is also planned. This allows filters to be changed quickly, which can be useful in changing lighting conditions or during shoots where speed matters.
