Peak Design introduces a new material and color to the bag line: Coyote X-Pac. This material and the warm, robust color were first created in a limited edition in collaboration with Huckberry. However, the reactions from both users and the Peak Design team were so enthusiastic that this version is now included in the permanent range for eleven of their most beloved bags.
Peak Design, together with X-Pac, looked for a more sustainable alternative to their materials and chose the new VX-21 Ocean Edition. This innovative material, made from 100% recycled fishing nets and produced in America, fits perfectly with Peak Design's sustainability requirements. It combines robustness, weather resistance and environmental friendliness with the character of their Versa Shell fabric.
What makes this collaboration special is that the exclusive combination of the Coyote X-Pac VX-21 Ocean Edition material was exclusive to Peak Design bags until 2025.
These bags remain true to the climate-neutral and B-Corp certifications, and with their involvement with 1% for the Planet and the Conservation Alliance, they take another step forward in responsible design.
The exterior of all Peak Design Coyote X-Pac bags has the same unique features:
• Constructed from multi-layer lamination
• Outer layer made from 100% recycled nylon fishing nets
• Inner layer is solution dyed recycled poly
• In between is a 22° diamond pattern made of recycled 50D polyester yarn called X-PLY.
• PFAS-free.
• Uses C0 DWR, a water-repellent treatment that is a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional DWR treatments.
The Peak Design Coyote X-Pac collection
The new Peak Design Coyote X-Pac collection consists of 11 popular and proven Peak Design products, including the Everyday Backpack 20L and 30L V2, the Travel Duffel 35L and 50L, Travel Backpack 45L, Everyday Sling 3L and 6L V2 and the Wash Pouch (Small) and Tech Pouch (Small).
Earlier this year the Coyote-colored editions of the Peak Design Slide, Slide Lite, Leash and Cuff, expanding the existing range of Peak Design camera straps.
Due to the high quality of the X-Pac material, the prices for this collection are slightly higher than for the same product in the standard colors.
