Nikon, in collaboration with RED, is expanding the Z CINEMA line with the ZR full-frame cinema camera. The ZR is specially designed for filmmakers and creative professionals who travel a lot. It is the lightest all-in-one cinema camera currently available according to Nikon, delivering up to 6K/60p in-camera recording and a full range of professional video recording formats.
Thanks to the 6K full-frame sensor, renowned REDcolor science, large on-camera monitor and internal 32-bit float audio, users filming with the all-new ZR can capture stunning images and pristine sound without the need for external equipment.

Standout features include an exclusive R3D NE codec, bringing renowned RED color science to Nikon. Additionally, the ZR features a Dual Base ISO of 800/6400, which maintains the sensor's dynamic range of over 15 stops for maximum detail in highlights and shadows.
The ZR has a 4-inch tilting monitor. The large, bright screen acts as a comprehensive control hub and supports the DCI-P3 color gamut for accurate color reproduction on set. The ZR also stands out by offering internal 32-bit float audio recording.
The dynamic range of 32-bit audio is so great that levels do not need to be constantly monitored during filming: sound can be recorded freely and levels can be adjusted afterwards without clipping.

Other professional ZR features include full weatherproofing and a wide choice of lenses, thanks to compatibility with both Nikon and third-party lenses.
Additionally, the ZR offers extensive system expansion capabilities and Nikon's new ME-D10 digital shotgun microphone ensures rich, directional audio recording in a wide range of recording environments.
