Nikon is expanding its S-Line lens range with the new Nikkor Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena. This premium full-frame medium-telephoto lens for professional photographers is ideal for bokeh-rich images, from fine art and portraits to high fashion and nature.
Nikon's large Z mount enables the Plena to produce truly circular bokeh, even in the far corners of the frame. The compression produced by the 135 mm focal length also makes the subject stand out beautifully against the background.

Even when shooting wide open against complex backgrounds or at close range, the finest details can be isolated against the fairy-tale bokeh.
The Plena offers the highest rendering performance of any S-Line lens and greater brightness at the edges than any other S-Line lens at f/1.8. Its rounded 11-blade diaphragm and complex optical design suppress aberrations, so you do not have to stop down to prevent vignetting.
When shooting wide open, point light sources such as stars or city lights appear sharp, round, and bright, while backlit bokeh remains free of arrow-shaped coma and flare.
Thanks to the Plena's fast, accurate autofocus, this S-Line prime lens focuses smoothly at every focusing distance—even at its widest aperture, where depth of field is at its shallowest.

Weighing just under a kilogram and featuring customizable controls, the Plena is also easy to handle, whether you shoot handheld or with a tripod.
Nikon's special coating reduces ghosting and flare by blocking incident light from all directions.
The Nikon Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena accepts the same wide range of 82 mm screw-in filters as the S-Line f/1.2 lenses.
