The newest member of the M11 family is the Leica M11-P Safari. With this introduction, the company continues its long tradition of popular Leica Safari Editions, known since the ’70s for their olive-green color scheme. Subtle design details emphasize the exclusive character of this special edition.
The distinctive color scheme gives the Leica Safari its unmistakable appearance. A notable feature is the solid-brass top plate, finished with a matte olive-green lacquer. The olive-green covering complements it beautifully and provides a secure grip.
Iconic Design, Powerful Performance
The silver-colored controls on the top and front of the camera create a striking contrast. The red Leica logo has been deliberately omitted and replaced by a subtle silver-colored screw. On the back, the controls are stylishly finished in black. The engraved Leica script and the inscriptions “Leica Camera AG” and “Wetzlar Germany” complete the distinctive design of the Leica M11-P Safari.

In terms of performance and technical specifications, the new special edition is identical to the Leica M11-P. This version also features the advanced technology of the base model: thanks to Content Credentials technology, each image can be signed with tamper-proof metadata, such as the camera model, copyright information and, if desired, the creation and editing dates.
With 256 GB of internal memory, you can shoot with confidence in both DNG and JPG formats. The scratch-resistant sapphire-glass LCD screen with an anti-reflective coating provides complete control in all lighting conditions.
The exceptionally clear, high-contrast and detailed images are produced by the powerful BSI CMOS full-frame sensor with Triple Resolution Technology, which offers a choice of image resolutions of 60, 36 or 18 megapixels. Thanks to connectivity via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or cable, the camera can be paired quickly and easily with the Leica FOTOS app. Bluetooth Low Energy allows photos to be transferred efficiently and with minimal power consumption in the background.

The Leica M11-P Safari is ideal for those who value exclusivity, aesthetics and style. This special edition comes with a black Leica carrying strap and is packaged in sustainable material. The packaging contains no plastic and is also produced in Germany.

100 Years of Leica: Witness to a Century
In 2025, Leica Camera AG celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Leica I, first presented at the Leipzig Spring Fair in 1925. As the first mass-produced 35mm camera, it exceeded all expectations. Its compact, portable design opened an entirely new range of photographic possibilities.

Around the world, Leica celebrated the anniversary under the motto “100 Years of Leica: Witness to a Century.” Throughout that year, national Leica organizations presented cultural projects and special editions at international events in cities including Dubai, Milan, New York, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The celebrations culminated in an anniversary week in June at Leica’s headquarters in Wetzlar. Visitors to Leica Galleries worldwide could also see outstanding exhibitions featuring work by leading photographers.
