Once again a full-frame rangefinder camera without LCD: the Leica M11-D.
Due to the lack of a display on the rear, shooting with the Leica M11-D focuses on the basic aspects of photography, such as composition, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Instead of a display, there is a large ISO button on the back of the camera. However, the new M11-D has not lost anything in terms of functionality.
With its clear customizability, modern connectivity and hardware-based authenticity technology, introduced for the first time in a camera with the Leica M11-P as Leica Content Credentials, the M11-D shows itself as a perfect combination of classic rangefinder photography and advanced camera capabilities.

With its clean lines, matte black painted surfaces, and the absence of the red Leica logo, the new M11-D also represents maximum understatement in the timeless Leica product design.
The authenticity of the photos taken with the Leica M11-D have been created, so can be checked at any time using an over-the-counter tool or at https://contentcredentials.org/verify.
Triple Resolution Sensor Technology
The Leica M11-D offers the option to take photos with resolutions of 60, 36 or 18 MP. A 3GB buffer allows continuous shooting at up to 5 frames per second at 60 MP. The internal memory of 256 GB offers ample space storage capacity. The battery is powerful enough to always have the camera ready to use when needed. The compact full-frame design fits comfortably in the hand and weighs 540 grams (including battery), which is 115 grams lighter than the previous model.
The M11-D is easy to use and is part of the M System, making it compatible with an extensive range of M lenses produced since 1954.

If you want to use an electronic viewfinder within the M system, you will end up with the Leica M EV1, the first M camera with integrated EVF.
The camera is equipped with a full-frame sensor and Triple Resolution Technology, developed for the Leica M11 series, and has an ISO range of 64 to 50,000, allowing good low-light performance with noise control.
Digital workflow with Leica FOTOS app
Although the Leica M11-D brings the analog experience to the digital world, it is not limited to that. Each photographer decides at what point the digital workflow is integrated into the work with the M11-D. The new M-Camera offers seamless connectivity via Bluetooth or a direct cable connection. As a certified "Made for iPhone® and iPad®" product, it offers a particularly fast and comfortable connection to iOS devices.
Further settings can be made with the Leica FOTOS app on the smartphone. The connection to the app thus enables easy photo transfer, remote control and geotagging. In addition, photos can be checked and reviewed independently of the camera in the Leica FOTOS app on iOS or Android devices.

Adjustments such as white balance and the choice between DNG and JPEG file formats can also be made in the app. Once saved in the Leica FOTOS app, the M11-D takes over the settings permanently. In this way the new M-Camera can be adapted to the desired requirements.
Matching accessories and nature-friendly packaging
In addition to the new M11-D, two matching accessories made of high-quality leather are available. One of these is a black protector, specially designed for the M11-D with a cutout for the mechanical ISO dial on the back of the camera. The other is a carrying strap available in black and cognac, made from a single piece of leather and suitable for all Leica M series cameras.
With a sharp focus on the future, Leica is redesigning its packaging and introducing a new packaging concept for Leica products, starting with the M11-D. The newly designed boxes are produced in Germany and are made almost entirely of natural paper.
