The Fujifilm X-E5 is a compact, lightweight mirrorless camera that combines distinctive classic styling with modern technology. The X-E5 is the latest model in the X Series and has been available in black and silver since August 2025.
Weighing 445 grams including the battery and memory card, the Fujifilm X-E5 is a lightweight, portable mirrorless camera designed for a variety of situations. For the first time, the top plate is machined from a single piece of aluminum, creating a sturdy body with a clean, refined appearance.

The X-E5 features Fujifilm's latest image sensor and processor: the 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR and the X-Processor 5. This combination makes it possible to shoot at high resolution while retaining dynamic range and strong ISO performance. ISO 125 is now standard, and the electronic shutter supports shutter speeds of up to 1/180,000 second, which is especially useful in bright light or situations requiring precise exposure control.
New to this series is the built-in 5-axis image stabilization system. It provides up to 7 stops of compensation in the center of the frame and 6 stops at the edges, helping when shooting handheld or at slower shutter speeds.
The X-E5 features a new film simulation dial with three programmable positions (FS1–FS3), allowing you to switch quickly among custom presets. The electronic viewfinder has also been updated: Classic Display mode presents settings in a restrained, analog-inspired layout at the bottom of the frame.

The camera’s compact design supports one-handed operation. Its buttons and dials are logically positioned for intuitive control. Surround View displays areas outside the selected frame, much like an optical viewfinder.
Although the design follows earlier X Series models, the finish is cleaner and more functional. The X-E5 is aimed at photographers who value simplicity and control, whether they are experienced or moving from a smartphone to a mirrorless camera.
Finally, the X-E5 has a tilting screen that rotates up and forward by as much as 180 degrees, useful for low-angle shots or self-portraits. Its digital teleconverter (1.4x and 2.0x) enables flexible framing with limited quality loss.

The camera also offers extensive video capabilities, recording in 6.2K at 30 frames per second. Its deep-learning autofocus recognizes people, animals, vehicles and drones, among other subjects, and remains accurate in low light or with fast-moving subjects.
