Photography Trips in the Netherlands, Europe, and Beyond

Photography Trips in the Netherlands, Europe, and Beyond | Fotografie.nl

It may have seemed contradictory to launch a travel company at a time when travel was not possible. The travel industry faced uncertainty, but entrepreneur Damien Franscoise took the leap with his new travel company, De Fotoreisshop, which specializes in distinctive photography trips.

Travelers were eager to get back on the road and make up for the period when travel had not been possible. The benefits of organized travel had also become very clear over the previous year. Travelers had more rights when booking an organized trip than when traveling independently, and the assistance and expertise of Dutch travel organizations had proved valuable in uncertain situations.

De Fotoreisshop specializes in photography trips in the Netherlands, across Europe, and farther afield. Rather than offering yet another photography trip to Iceland or the Lofoten Islands, it focuses on less conventional destinations such as the Dolomites in Italy, Nepal, Jordan, Tuscany in Italy, and the Picos de Europa in Spain.

Some trips focus on landscape photography, others on urban and street photography, and there are dedicated wildlife trips to Nepal, India, and South Africa. There is a suitable trip for every type of amateur photographer.

The organization brings together extensive travel experience, expertise, and photographic knowledge. Damien Franscoise owns the company and organizes its photography trips. He spent years working in the travel industry before becoming an independent photographer. He has organized photography trips for many years and knows exactly what participants want to see and experience.

Alongside Damien, three highly experienced photographers guide the trips: Ruud van der Bliek, Bouke Lolkema and Tom Smit. They know the destinations and have extensive experience leading groups.

In addition to group trips, the company also introduced a new product: individual photography trips. An amateur photographer travels without a guide but receives a detailed itinerary and personal guidance, combining the freedom of an independent trip with the benefits of organized travel. Participants receive personal guidance before and after the trip, along with information about ideal photography locations, the best restaurants, and noteworthy sights. Accommodations, transportation, and other arrangements are booked for them so they can travel without worry.

De Fotoreisshop also offered a landscape photography masterclass for anyone wishing to expand their knowledge. The practical program covered every aspect of landscape photography, visited many types of landscapes, and explored the relevant techniques in depth.

Travelers booked with the protections expected from a professional travel organization: GGTO, VvKR, and Calamiteitenfonds coverage and terms were in place. At the time, De Fotoreisshop also offered a promotion requiring no deposit for bookings made through May 31, avoiding the need for travel vouchers.
