Good news for collectors of exclusive cameras who also have a soft spot for watches: a special edition in two variants of the Leica Q2, namely the Leica Q2 "Ghost" by Hodinkee and the Leica Q2 "Ghost" Set by Hodinkee. The timeless design of the Leica Q2 "Ghost" from Hodinkee pays tribute to an iconic diving watch known among connoisseurs as the "Ghost Bezel".
Inspired by the legendary classic watch with its very rare gray bezel (ring around the dial), the Leica designers, together with Hodinkee, have created the elegant and discreet color scheme of the special Leica Q2 model.
The stylish gray leather upholstery made of fine cowhide with a natural texture, has a special coating to protect the Leica Q2 "Ghost" by Hodinkee reliably protected against weather influences. The top and lens are painted in an unobtrusive light gray and the red Leica logo has been deliberately omitted. The special edition includes a carrying strap woven from gray yarn with a stable key ring strap.
Technically speaking, the Leica Q2 "Ghost" from Hodinkee is identical to the “standard” model Leica Q2.
As a second variant, Hodinkee presents the Leica Q2 "Ghost" Set from Hodinkee. The limited edition worldwide to only 150 sets is decorated with a print of Leica on the top plate. In addition, two engravings in the display glass testify to the exclusive character: they show the special serial number between 001/150 and 150/150 and the name of the set.
The Leica Q2 "Ghost" Set from Hodinkee also includes a silver thumb rest, a gray carrying strap and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Prices and availability
The Leica Q3 "Ghost" by Hodinkee will be available from December 8, 2022 at the Leica Store Amsterdam and the Leica Store Lisse. The sales price will be €5,950.00 including VAT. The Leica Q2 "Ghost" Set by HODINKEE will be exclusively and limited available on the Hodinkee website from November 15, 2022.
