Canon has announced the RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM, a new ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for full-frame cameras. The lens combines a broad 16-28mm zoom range with a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. Its compact, lightweight design, 5.5-stop optical image stabilization, and improved weather resistance make it suitable for a wide range of photography and video applications.
The RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM is designed for performance and ease of use. Its ultra-wide focal-length range suits landscape, architectural, and interior photography. The large f/2.8 maximum aperture also makes it easier to isolate subjects and work in low light.
Its compact size and low weight of 445 grams make the lens a practical choice for photographers on the go. When retracted, it is only 91 mm long.
