Ferry Knijn
Photography and music are my greatest passions. In my photography, I work extensively with musicians and dancers. Four years ago, I made the transition from hobbyist to professional photographer. In addition to commissioned work, I am always working on personal projects. In 2013, I started the 'Dutch Jazz Portraits' project.
For me, the camera is a visa into the worlds of music and dance. The brief time you get to spend with people, the things you share, and the connection you build is the most special thing there is. When you receive feedback after a photo session like, "you captured me as I truly am," that is the greatest compliment I could ever receive.
