Ernest Selleger is a professional photographer based in Alkmaar.
Ernest received his first camera, an Agfa ritsrats, on his 9th birthday. While other children were busy photographing pets, Ernest wanted people in front of his lens.
At 16, photographer Cees Noort sent Ernest out with a camera, telling him he wasn't allowed to return until he had captured a great shot.
At 17, Ernest took photos of his neighbor who wanted to become a model. Corine Spier of Corine’s Agency was very impressed with the neighbor, but she also saw a future for Ernest in photography. Her enthusiasm was a key factor in his decision to attend the Photo Academy in The Hague.

About the photographer
Ernest Selleger is an Alkmaar-based photographer with extensive experience in portrait, wedding, group, and corporate photography. It became clear early on that people were his primary interest—not just as subjects for the camera, but as characters, postures, and moments. He strives for more than just a clean record in his work. Whether it is a portrait, a wedding reportage, a family shoot, or a corporate assignment, the focus is always on capturing the essence of the moment and the personality of the people in front of his lens.
His approach is professional and focused, with an eye for both image quality and efficient production. Ernest enjoys creating photos that communicate clearly: images that convey atmosphere, trust, vulnerability, or strength. This visual connection is particularly important in portrait and corporate photography. Based in Alkmaar, he works for private and corporate clients looking for a photographer who is technically skilled, great with people, and able to translate a brief into images with character.
