The official timeline lists 1 June 2026 as the opening date for submissions. The Student Competition closes on 27 November 2026 at 16:00 GMT. The Single Image Competition, formerly Open, and the Youth Competition close on 5 January 2027 at 16:00 GMT. The Series Competition, formerly Professional, closes on 12 January 2027 at 16:00 GMT.
Prizes vary by competition and include cash awards, Sony Digital Imaging equipment, inclusion in the exhibition or awards book, and international visibility through the World Photography Organisation.
