PAN Amsterdam brings together more than 125 galleries, antiques dealers and art dealers. Its 39th edition connects different periods and collecting fields, from Old Masters and Japanese lacquerware to contemporary art, design and photography.
Photography among the arts
Returning exhibitors include Wouter van Leeuwen Photography. Newcomer Gallery ILÉ presents THE BEACH IS IN THE FOREST, curated by Joyce Bidouzo. Seven artists, including Dominique Zinkpè and Gérard Quenum, explore memory, identity and spirituality within African and African-diasporic worlds through painting, sculpture and photography.
Fashion designer Tess van Zalinge created the campaign image and serves as ambassador and artist in residence. She and her team are building a working studio on the fair floor, allowing visitors to observe the creative process up close. Guided tours and discussions at PAN Podium complement the fair.
