Foam presents an exhibition by Myriam Boulos, the nineteenth winner of the Foam Paul Huf Award. The Lebanese photographer connects personal experiences with broader stories about war, political conflict and everyday life in her home country.
In her work, Boulos creates space for people who live outside dominant social norms. Intimate moments of connection and tenderness sit alongside images of protest and resistance. For her, photography is not a neutral form of observation but a deeply lived means of reflection and of making people’s right to exist visible.
Boulos began taking photographs at the age of sixteen and published her first photobook, What’s Ours, with Aperture in 2023. She previously took part in Foam Talent and the Joop Swart Masterclass organised by World Press Photo.
