Marilyn
Forum Groningen shows clothing, personal belongings, letters, photographs and film footage of Marilyn Monroe.

In the exhibition Marilyn, Forum Groningen reveals the woman behind the myth of Marilyn Monroe. The exhibition brings together clothing, personal belongings, letters, photographs and film footage in an intimate portrait of the Hollywood icon.
Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Baker, became one of the most recognisable faces in film history. The exhibition looks beyond the image of sex symbol and style icon, showing her entrepreneurship, engagement and lasting influence on pop culture.
The woman behind the myth
Visitors see objects from the collection of Ted Stampfer, among others. These personal items only came onto the market decades after Monroe’s death and offer a rare view of her life, work and image.
The exhibition is accompanied by a film programme with iconic Marilyn Monroe films. Guided tours can be booked via Forum Groningen on Saturdays and Sundays.
