In Dialogue with the Source, Belgian-Congolese artist Léonard Pongo explores our relationship with the landscape. For FOMU, he is creating an installation combining photography, video and textiles, based on his journeys through the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Using modified cameras, Pongo also captures light that is invisible to the human eye. His images offer an unusual perspective on the natural world. Stories from local communities and Congolese traditions inform his work, in which the experience of a place matters more than its geographical description.
