The Legacy Photography Awards are a monthly international photography competition for amateur and professional photographers aged 18 and over. The competition focuses on family and portrait photography and has seven categories: Maternity, Newborn, Studio Child Portrait, Outdoor Child Portrait, Tweens & Teens, Senior Portrait and Wedding.

Submission

According to the current entry form, participation costs €8 per photo. From five photos onward, the fee is €7 per photo. A maximum of fifteen photos can be submitted per edition.

Files must be supplied as JPG or JPEG, in sRGB, with 1920 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 3 MB. Logos, watermarks and names in the image are not allowed, so entries can be judged anonymously.

AI and editing

Images generated entirely by artificial intelligence are not accepted. AI backgrounds and textures are allowed under certain conditions, but may not replace, cover or physically alter the photographed people. For the Outdoor Child Portrait category, AI-made or AI-altered backgrounds are excluded.

Prizes

Monthly winners receive, among other things, a free entry voucher for the next edition, a certificate and a badge. At the end of the year, a total of €4,000 is awarded: the winner of each of the seven categories receives €500 and a trophy, and the Absolute Overall Winner also receives €500 and a trophy.

To be eligible for an annual title, a photographer must have entered at least six editions within the same year.

Deadline: the current homepage lists 27 July 2026. The rules mention a general monthly entry period from the 1st through the 26th, while the countdown on the site differs. Always check the current countdown on the official website before submitting.
