In Layers, secondary school students in The Hague share how they experience their cultural backgrounds. They experimented with colour, composition and photographic layers, inspired by Mixedness is my Mythology by Farren van Wyk.
Roos Koole and Jeffrey Grouwstra of KijkLab guided students from Christelijk lyceum Zandvliet and international transition classes for newcomers. Their images explore encounters and exchanges between cultures.
The exhibition runs from 12 June to 29 November 2026 and admission is free. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays.
