Alongside her commercial photography for the advertising industry, Marlies Hofstede makes personal work inspired by the living world. In The Nature of Beauty, she turns her attention to flowers and plants that would otherwise fade away.
Organic shapes also appear in her visual experiments, including works made with white paper. The exhibition shows how her way of looking moves between nature and forms she creates herself.
