Foam Talent Call 2012

The winners will get the chance to have their work published in Foam Magazine, a distinctive and highly regarded international photography magazine. Photographers can submit and upload their portfolios simply using this Facebook app on the Foam Magazine Facebook page.

The sixth edition of Foam Talent Call opened on 30 January and this year photographers can submit their work for the first time via Facebook. With over 800 submissions last year, we are excited to see how many we receive this year via Facebook. It is not necessary to have a Facebook to enter the call.

The Call is open to all photographers aged between 18-35 across the globe. The entrance fee is 35 euros and the competition is fierce, but 15 selected talents will receive an eight page portfolio showcasing their series along with an interview by an esteemed writer. The editorial board will choose the portfolios according to the creative vision and concept of the series presented, amongst other criteria. Submission closes on 16 April 2012.

Nog tot 31 mei 2012 kan je deelnemen aan de International Filter Photo Contest 2011-2012. Deze fotowedstrijd, die gesponsord wordt door Kenko-Tokina, staat open voor elke foto die genomen is met een effectenfilter. (Deze filter mag van eender welk merk zijn overigens!)

Fotowedstrijd verlaten station Lelystad Zuid

De Barak organiseert in samenwerking met Cultuurspoor Nieuwland, een fotowedstrijd rondom het verlaten station Lelystad Zuid. In de nieuwbouwwijk Warande ligt het verlaten station Lelystad Zuid. Dit nooit afgebouwde monument heeft geen duidelijke functie maar wordt wel gebruikt! Het inspireert graffiti-artiesten, urban explorers en fotografen. Zij gebruiken het station als onderwerp voor kunstuitingen en als ontmoetingsplaats.

Pride Photo Award 2012

Vandaag gaat de fotowedstrijd Pride Photo Award 2012 van start. Het is de tweede editie van deze internationale fotowedstrijd. Fotografen kunnen hun werk inzenden tot en met 7 juli. De winnende foto’s zijn van 29 september tot en met 28 oktober te zien in de Oude Kerk te Amsterdam.
